He said, "Thanks, I'm the author". I was skeptical, but I said "If you can prove it, I'll buy a copy." He took out his wallet and showed me his driver's license. I bought it. My partner's mother found it "interesting" but didn't want to lend it to her friends. It really is an accurate reflection of that moment in time, just before the epidemic changed everything.
